New ‘Adaptive Image’ HTML Tag Stirs Controversy

As mobile and higher pixel density screens become more and more popular, web designers/developers are forced to find ways to satisfy every web user and their resolution/pixel density. Enter the “Adaptive Image” img tag attributes.

The controversy part comes into the browser’s ability to pre-fetch, along with developers already exploring the proposed tag.

The jury is still out on this one.
