While in no way a web designer — at least not for a very very long time, I do feel like I have a pretty good eye for translating a web designer’s designs into a working/breathing web properties.
Recently, I was working on a project where the designer had a less than readable font for body copy. The font choices were spot on for headlines and short blocks, but for anything more than a sentence, it was just hard to read on both retina and normal resolution displays.
Rather than just come back at the designer that the font didn’t work, I wanted to offer some proven suggestions and I came across the article below that gives a great variety of legible/usable webfonts — many of which were completely free for use.
