
Google has done a lot for pushing the web and making it faster. I can’t tell you how many development hours I’ve spent chasing page speed insights scores over the years. One of the latest is AMP — short for The Accelerated Mobile Pages Project. While Google’s page speed insights along the way has given its share of cryptic error messages, AMP has introduced its own — now invading your inbox with warnings.

I was unaware of AMP’s origins, but saw it start popping up the past few years. According to Wikipedia’s AMP page, it came up as a competitor to Facebook’s Instant Article technology. It surrounds making mobile websites as fast as can be.
